Potatoes with carrots in a creamy sauce

Wonderful vegetarian version of braised potatoes will amaze you with the simplicity of its execution and will delight the most delicate taste.
Ingredients
potatoes – 2 kg;
Bay leaf – 1 PC.;
heavy cream (sour cream) – 2-3 cups;
carrots – 1-2 PCs.;
butter – 2-3 table. spoons;
asafoetida, black pepper and other spices – to taste;

Cooking
Peeled potatoes cut into large cubes, add water and boil. Then add salt and add the Bay leaf, continue to cook until ready. Carrot peel and grate on a grater, after fry it in butter with spices. Then add cream (sour cream) and simmer for a few minutes, season with salt to taste.
Pour cream sauce on baked potatoes, pot wrap with a towel and let stand half an hour – 1 hour.
