Lazy vareniki with berries
Traditional Ukrainian dish, the recipe of which is already known five centuries. The story of “lazy” dumplings takes the countdown from the Cossack times.
- Cottage cheese – 400 g
- Flour – 3 tbsp
- Eggs – 1 pcs
- Semolina – 4 tablespoons
- Strawberries – 200 g
- Sour cream – 200 g
- Powdered sugar – 150-200 g
- Coconut flakes – 1 tbsp
- Cinnamon – 1 tsp.
Preparation. Lazy vareniki with berries
Pre-cottage cheese wipe through a sieve. Mix in egg until smooth, add semolina and powdered sugar.
Tip: use semolina instead of flour so the dumplings have turned soft and lush.
For flavor you can add coconut flakes. Then add a little flour to the dumplings clung.
Moisten hands with water, form a dough sausage, cut into small pieces. Start each slice strawberries and roll it into small ball.
Tip: for the filling you can also use currant, BlackBerry, cherry, black cherry. “Lazy” vareniki can be frozen and cook at any time.
Place the dumplings in boiling salted water and cook for 5-7 minutes. Ready-made dumplings pour the sauce, sprinkle with cinnamon and decorate with berries.
Gravy. With a mixer, whip the cream with powdered sugar. Add a little cinnamon.
